Everything You Need To Know (2024 FAQ)

Everything You Need To Know (2024 FAQ)

2D Con is just around the corner! Here are all of the updates that you need to know to have the best weekend ever.

Capacity

If you haven’t purchased your ticket yet, we recommend doing so in advance as we are expecting to hit capacity. This year we are implementing a 5000 person attendance limit to prevent overcrowding and ensure that the convention is as comfortable as possible. Get your ticket.

Guest Updates

Guest signings have been staggered to decrease line congestion and give the guests more time to enjoy the convention. Guests are scheduled for the following signing times. Lines will wrap around from the guest area entrance. VIP and Supporter attendees will have a separate line from general attendees. VIP, Supporters and Standard attendees will be alternated.

Guest pricing is set individually by each guest. A guest handler will take all payments for autographs and photographs at the con.

Getting to 2D Con

There are many options to get to 2D Con. We recommend carpooling to save spots in the parking lot. We have also secured a partnership with the local rideshare company, MyWeels to provide free and discounted rides to and from the convention. Learn more about getting to the con.

Parking

We have secured the entire parking lot of the Doubletree, their normal park and fly service will be on hold during 2D Con weekend. There is overflow parking available at the Sheraton Hotel across the street and street parking available in between the Doubletree and the Sheraton. We are working on additional parking.

There is also a public parking ramp across highway 100 that is free to use, but does not allow overnight parking. Please do not park in the TGI Fridays parking lot.

Getting your badge

All attendees are required to pick up their badge at registration.

Registration is located near the hotel lobby on the first floor. There will be two lines, one for pre-registered attendees and one for walk up registration.

When you reach the end of the line wait for the next available registration staff to call you up. They will hold up a number to signify that they are ready for you!

If you registered as a group, your entire group can come with you.

We have upgraded our registration system this year to ensure that we can get through everyone as fast as possible!

Flyers and Promotional Material

We do not permit the posting of flyers or any promotional material around the convention. We do this to ensure that important information is easy to find and that the venue does not get damaged.

There will be specific areas marked off for posting flyers. Flyers posted outside of these areas will be subject to removal.

Late Night Events

2D Con has multiple late night events this year such as room parties, concerts, dances, a drag show, and more. Many of these events are age restricted and will require a photo ID showing proof of age to enter.

Food and Drink

Outside food and beverage is not allowed in convention spaces. Food from outside sources may be eaten in the common spaces of the hotel such as the lobby, or in private hotel rooms.

There will be multiple bars and concession stands setup each night of the convention located near the mainstage, the arcade and in the 2D Block Party. Food and beverage purchased from these stands or from the hotel restaurant may be taken into convention space.

If you are drinking alcohol, please be responsible.

Safety and Security

We will have convention security during all open hours of the convention. They will be visibly marked with vests. If you have any safety concerns they can be reached by the private text line posted around the convention or can be contacted by any 2D Con staff member.

Safety and Operations is located near the hotel lobby.

Lost and Found

Lost and found items may be turned in and retrieved in the operations room located near the hotel lobby.
